Austin Resource Recovery has scheduled the brush pick-up for Westminster Glen to be on January 8, 2024. Below are the guidelines for pick-up:
-
Branches and limbs longer than 15 feet should be cut down. Brush should be between 5 and 15 feet in length.
-
Tree trunks more than 8 inches in diameter should be 3 feet long or less.
-
Place large brush at the curb in front of your house by 5:30 a.m. on the first day of your scheduled collection week.
-
Stack loosely along the curb in one row, not more than 15 feet across and no higher than 4 feet, with cut ends facing the street.
-
Please don't block the sidewalk or extend into the street.
-
To prevent damage to your property, keep items 5 feet away from your trash cart, mailbox, fences or walls, water meter, telephone connection box, fire hydrants and parked cars.
-
Do not place any items under low-hanging tree limbs or power lines.

At the 2023 Annual Meeting on October 25, Adam Pugh and Robert Taylor were elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors filling the positions of Chip Graves and Belinda Gallagher. Congratulations to Adam and Robert.
Chip is our outgoing president and has done an excellent job handling the myriad of management details for our Association. Belinda has been the driving force behind the improvements we’ve seen at the entrances to our subdivision. Their tireless efforts on our behalf have helped keep Westminster Glen Estates a great place to live.
Also, Reena Ubha resigned after the annual meeting, leaving a vacancy that will be appointed by the Board of Directors at the next board meeting.
We want to thank Belinda Gallagher, Chip Graves, and Reena Ubha for their service to the community. They have made great strides in improving our neighborhood, and the new Board will continue their efforts.
The new board and officers are
Eowyn Gorman, President
Adam Pugh, Vice President
Diane Love, Treasurer
Robert Taylor, Secretary
Sandhya Murti, Director-at-large

Our CCRs do not directly address Short Term Rentals (STRs); however, there are some city limitations that we fall under, and there is an additional overlay that the Board has voted to approve to protect our neighbors.
To have a short-term rental in Westminster Glen, you must be licensed by the City of Austin (unless you live in phase 3, you are exempt). The city limits the number of STR licenses per neighborhood; no more licenses will be allotted when that number is hit.
The additional protection that we have voted to support is that any STR in ANY phase of Westminster Glen must have a property manager or other responsible party (designee) available to address any issue within an hour.
If you have an STR in Westminster Glen, you need to notify the board, and we will keep a master list with your designee's name and contact info and share it with our management company. For now, Linda Solomon will manage that list, and you can send your information to Lsalomon@me.com.
If there are any complaints or disruptions by your renters, your designee must address them immediately. Failure to do so may result in fines by the HOA.
We also request that you supply your immediate neighbors with the name and contact of your designee. The goal is to allow people to utilize their homes for STRs while protecting the other families and homes in our neighborhood.
Thanks for giving us the time to sort through what is fair and legal and still protective of our lovely neighborhood.
Linda, Belinda, Reena, Ashley, and Chip
On December 20, 2021, the HOA Board approved a new policy to address a growing number of property improvements being undertaken without prior ACC approval. The new policy states that when the ACC becomes aware of an unapproved project, that they will issue a Stop Work email to the resident requesting that plans and other required documentation be submitted for ACC approval within 4 days or face fines from $25 to $100 per day.
The policy also includes a fine schedule for other construction-related violations.
Click here to see details of the new policy, and contact the ACC if you have questions.
